Ideal for riders who want a light, affordable top-entry cage for standard cycling bottles and a colour-matched finish that stands out on the bike.
The ZEFAL Pulse B2 is a classic top-entry bottle cage for riders who want a clean look, low weight and straightforward everyday function. At 30 g, it stays nicely light on a road, gravel or fitness bike, and the bi-material construction is set up to give you a firmer central spine with more flexible outer wings for easier bottle entry and removal.
On the bike, this style of cage suits riders who value quick bottle access and a cage that doesn’t fight you every time you take a drink. Long-term testing of bottle cages in this category shows that lightweight resin cages are popular because they offer a good balance of low weight, colour choice and value, and the Pulse B2 fits that brief well. It’s also drilled for the standard 64 mm bottle boss spacing, so it suits the vast majority of bikes with regular frame mounts.
Where this cage makes the most sense is on bikes with enough room for a normal top-loading cage and with standard cycling bottles rather than oversized drink flasks. If you’re chasing a pink accent on your build, or you simply want a dependable everyday cage that keeps things simple, the Pulse B2 is an easy choice.

Bi-Material
We use a tougher central structure for bottle security, with a lighter, more flexible outer section so you get a cage that feels secure on rough roads but is still easy to use one-handed.
Reinforced composite structure
The reinforced centre adds the rigidity needed to cut vibration and keep your bottle stable when the ride gets choppy.
Technopolymer resin
The outer resin adds flexibility and a clean finish, making bottle insertion and removal smoother in everyday use.
Optimal design
The shape is tuned to make getting your bottle in and out quick and straightforward while you ride.
Custom
With 10 colour options available, it's easy to match the cage to your bike build or add a pop of colour.
Universal
The standard-bottle fit makes this a simple choice if you want a cage that works with regular cycling bottles without fuss.
Lightweight
At just 30 g, it keeps weight low without giving up practical bottle retention.
Great for
Maybe not for
Fits standard bottle-cage bosses, which are commonly spaced at 64 mm on most bikes, and is intended for standard cycling bottles. If your frame has a tight front triangle, frame bag or shock placement that limits clearance, a side-entry cage may be a better match.
vs Tacx Ciro Bottle Cage
The Tacx Ciro sits in a very similar lightweight resin-cage space and is also aimed at riders who want low weight and a sleek look.
vs Elite Custom Race
Elite’s long-running Custom Race is a more retention-focused cage with a self-adjusting design, but it is noticeably heavier.
vs Elite Custom Race X
The Custom Race X is a modern lightweight rival that pushes harder toward secure retention and compact-frame friendliness.
Best with regular cycling bidons
This cage is built around standard cycling bottles. If you’re planning to use oversized insulated bottles or everyday drink flasks, fit can be hit-and-miss and retention won’t be as predictable.
Top-entry only
The Pulse B2 works best where you’ve got enough clearance above the cage to pull the bottle upward cleanly. On compact frames, dual-suspension bikes or bikes with frame bags, a side-entry design is often easier to live with.
Lightweight, but not a downhill cage
For road riding, commuting and general gravel use, the lightweight build makes plenty of sense. If your rides are regularly very rough and you want the strongest possible clamp on the bottle, a firmer-holding cage may suit better.
Use a little grease on the bolts
When fitting it, add a thin smear of grease to the bottle-cage bolt threads and tighten with a 4 mm hex key. It helps prevent seized bolts and makes future removal much easier.
French cycling accessories with deep roots in pumps, bottles and workshop essentials.
ZEFAL is a French cycling accessories brand with roots going back to the late 19th century. The company’s history includes early links to the Presta valve, the AFA business founded in Paris in 1892, and the launch of the first Zéfal-branded duralumin pump in 1934 before the company later adopted ZEFAL as its corporate name in 1998.
Today ZEFAL designs its products around practical everyday use, with much of its manufacturing based in Jargeau in the Loire Valley region. The brand states that more than 60% of its accessories are manufactured in France, and it is particularly known for pumps, bottles, bottle cages, mudguards, repair products and bikepacking accessories.
