1/2 x 1/8 inch. Check your sprocket and chainring are 1/8 inch wide (almost all BMX, kids', cruiser and hub gear bikes are). Count the links on your old chain, or bring the bike in and we'll size it.
Fitting the split link
Fit the closed end of the spring clip facing the direction the chain travels, so it can't be flicked off by anything it brushes past. On a hub gear or coaster brake bike, leave a little slack, about 10 to 15 mm of movement at the midpoint.
