Riders on a Shimano 12-speed XT or Ultegra drivetrain, including e-bike rear derailleur systems, who need a like-for-like replacement chain.
This is Shimano's CN-M8100 12-speed HG chain at 126 links, sold for Deore XT and Ultegra drivetrains. Extended portions on the ends of the inner plates give stronger chain retention and a quieter, smoother drivetrain, and with HYPERGLIDE+ cassettes you can keep pedalling through shifts.
The plates carry SIL-TEC, Shimano's low-friction treatment for smoother running and longer wear, and the chain joins with an included Quick-Link (SM-CN910-12). Shimano makes that link non-reusable, so fit a fresh one whenever the chain is opened.

DYNAMIC CHAIN ENGAGEMENT+
Shimano's front chainring tooth design, matched to this chain's extended inner plates for stronger chain retention and a quieter, smoother drivetrain.
SIL-TEC
Shimano's ultra-low friction surface treatment. It is a plating process with embedded fluorine particles, so parts run smoother and wear longer in all conditions.

Supplied at 126 links, which is long for many bikes. Compare it against your old chain or your bike's recommended length, and shorten it before joining it with the Quick-Link if needed.
Fit a new Quick-Link every time
Shimano lists the SM-CN910-12 as non-reusable, so keep a spare and never refit an old one. Clean the chain with a proper chain cleaner and avoid alkali or acid based solvents such as rust cleaners, which Shimano warns can make a chain break. Before each ride, check for deformed or cracked links and for skipping.
