Riders with a T47 frame running a SRAM or Truvativ GXP crank who want a durable, serviceable threaded bottom bracket.
T47 gives modern frames the reliability of a threaded bottom bracket with room for bigger shells. This Wheels Manufacturing unit threads straight into a T47 shell with machined aluminium cups and outboard angular contact bearings, set up for SRAM GXP 24/22 mm cranks.
An included sleeve fits between the cups to keep dirt out and stop internal cables and hoses from rubbing on the crank spindle, a handy detail on bikes with internal routing.
Like BSA, the drive-side cup is left-hand thread and the non-drive cup is right-hand. The bearings are easy to service or replace, so it is a bottom bracket you can keep running for years.

Angular contact bearings
Built to handle combined side and radial loads, a good match for the preload a crank puts through a bottom bracket.
T47 thread
A larger threaded standard that gives threaded reliability in wide shells, with the same thread directions as BSA.

For T47 shells with outboard bearings, typically 68 to 100 mm wide, and SRAM GXP 24/22 mm spindles.
Grease or anti-seize
Use a quality grease on the threads for steel or aluminium frames, and an anti-seize suited to titanium on ti frames. Mind the reverse thread on the drive side. We can fit it and set your crank preload in the workshop.
