Riders who spend hours on the trainer each week and want a more natural, comfortable ride feel without giving up KICKR accuracy and power.
Most smart trainers hold your bike rigidly in place, which is why long indoor sessions can feel harder on your body than the same effort outside. The KICKR MOVE fixes that with up to 20 cm of fore-aft movement: surge out of the saddle or change your cadence and the trainer rolls with you, then settles back to centre. AXIS feet add a touch of side-to-side sway.
Underneath, it's a KICKR v6. You get the same 7.3 kg flywheel, 2,200 W of resistance, gradients up to 20% and +/- 1% accuracy, confirmed in independent testing against pedal power meters. It connects over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ANT+, calibrates itself, and works with Zwift, TrainerRoad, Rouvy, Wahoo SYSTM and most other training apps.
It arrives fully assembled with an 11-speed 11-28T cassette and adapters for quick-release and thru-axle bikes. Flip the lock-out lever for sprints or FTP tests, then free it up for long endurance rides. At 29 kg it's a trainer to set up and leave in place, ideally on a hard floor.

General
Fore-aft movement
The trainer body rides on a curved track, letting your bike move forward and back up to 20 cm as you surge, stand or change tempo. Gravity brings it back to centre, so it feels closer to riding outside and eases the strain of long seated sessions.
KICKR AXIS feet
Compressible feet give a little side-to-side sway. Pick small, medium or large to suit your weight.
KICKR flywheel and power
The same internals as the KICKR v6: a 7.3 kg flywheel, up to 2,200 W of resistance and +/- 1% accuracy, with auto-calibration so there are no spin-downs to remember.
Wi-Fi connection
Connects straight to your home network for a stable link, automatic firmware updates and lower latency than Bluetooth. Direct Connect adds a wired option.
ERG Easy Ramp
After a stop or a drop in cadence, ERG resistance builds back up over 10 to 15 seconds instead of hitting you all at once.
Great for
Maybe not for
Fits 650b, 700c and 29 in wheels with 130/135 mm quick-release or 12x142/12x148 mm thru-axles. Shimano Micro Spline 12-speed isn't supported, and 12-speed Shimano HG or SRAM XDR bikes need a matching cassette or freehub. Ask us and we'll confirm your bike fits.
vs Wahoo KICKR v6
Same flywheel, power, gradient and accuracy, on a fixed base. The KICKR v6 is lighter and smaller; the MOVE adds fore-aft movement for a more natural feel.
Front wheel set-up
The front wheel needs to roll a little as the trainer moves, so use a hard floor or a flat, channelled riser rather than a standard front-wheel block.
Discontinued, still supported
Wahoo stopped selling the KICKR MOVE directly in June 2026. It continues to receive hardware and software support, and firmware updates for at least two years after its last direct sale.
Indoor trainers, bike computers and training software.
Wahoo Fitness is an American company founded in Atlanta in 2009 by Chip Hawkins. Its first KICKR smart trainer arrived in 2012 and helped define the modern direct-drive trainer category.
Wahoo now makes KICKR trainers and smart bikes, ELEMNT GPS bike computers, TICKR heart-rate monitors and Speedplay pedals, along with the SYSTM training app.
