Ideal for riders who want a premium GPS computer with big-screen mapping, straightforward setup and strong route guidance for road, gravel and long-distance riding.
If you want a bike computer that puts mapping and readability first, the ELEMNT ACE is the Wahoo we’d steer you towards. You get a 3.8-inch TFT touchscreen, dual-band GPS, voice turn-by-turn cues, pre-loaded global maps and a Ready-To-Ride dashboard that puts routes, workouts, sensor status and battery checks in one place before you roll out. The mix of touchscreen control plus physical buttons is a smart setup too, especially when you’re riding in gloves, rain or rougher conditions.
Where the ACE really makes sense is for riders who spend plenty of time following routes, exploring new roads or gravel loops, or simply want a display that’s easier to read at a glance. Independent ride testing has consistently praised the map clarity, easy setup and simple interface, while also showing that the ACE is a notably large and heavy unit compared with smaller computers. That trade-off is worth knowing up front: you’re buying this for visibility, navigation and convenience, not for the lightest cockpit possible.
It also brings a few features that stand out in day-to-day use, including the integrated wind sensor, SUMMIT climb features, smart notifications, ANT+ FE-C trainer control and broad compatibility with sensors, radars, trainers and route platforms. For the right rider, it’s a premium computer that feels most at home on road, gravel and endurance bikes where a bigger screen is a genuine benefit.
Large touchscreen that’s easy to read
The 3.8-inch TFT display gives you more room for maps, data fields and navigation prompts, which is especially useful on longer rides and unfamiliar routes.
Touchscreen plus real buttons
You can swipe and pinch through maps when stopped or cruising, then rely on physical buttons when conditions are wet, bumpy or gloved.
Navigation is the real strength
With global maps, on-device smart navigation, Back On Track, Route to Start and Retrace Routes, it’s built for riders who actually use navigation instead of just recording rides.
Voice turn-by-turn cues
Audible directions help you stay on course with less time spent staring down at the screen.
Ready-To-Ride dashboard
Before you start, you can quickly check workout profiles, routes, connected sensors and battery status without digging through menus.
Broad sensor and trainer support
The ACE works with heart rate monitors, power meters, ANT+ radar, speed sensors and trainers, including ANT+ FE-C trainer control and Wahoo KICKR ecosystem support.
Integrated wind sensor
The built-in wind pressure sensor adds another layer of ride feedback for riders who like analysing pacing, exposure and drafting after the ride.
Built for big-ride use
With up to 30 hours battery life, USB-C charging and IPX7 water resistance, it’s suited to long training days, events and mixed-weather riding.

Ready-To-Ride Dashboard
We make it quicker to get rolling with a dashboard that puts workout profiles, routes, workouts, connected sensors and battery checks in one place before you start.
Dual-Band GPS
You’ll get more dependable positioning when riding through dense tree cover, remote trails and built-up urban areas where signal quality can drop.
Integrated Wind Sensor
We help you see how wind and drafting are affecting your ride, so you can pace your effort and refine your position with clearer real-world feedback.
SUMMIT™ Features
We give you detailed climb information for upcoming, active and completed climbs, so you can manage your effort better on hilly rides.
SUMMIT™ Freeride
You can spot climbs ahead even without a preloaded route, making it easier to stay prepared when your ride is more spontaneous.

We guide you with voice cues, so you can stay on course with less time looking down at the screen.
On Device Smart Navigation
You can re-route, head back to the start, retrace your route or get to the beginning of a planned route directly from the unit when plans change mid-ride.

We keep key segments and useful map points within easy reach, helping you chase targets and find practical stops along the way.
Smart Notifications
You can keep an eye on important calls and messages from your phone without digging into a pocket while riding.

Wahoo App Integration
You can handle setup, customisation, sensors and connected services through the Wahoo app, making the computer easier to tailor to your riding.
Great for
Maybe not for
This is a large-format computer at 125 x 71 x 20 mm and 208 g, so check cockpit space before buying. In the box you get a 31.8 mm premium aluminium alloy mount. Independent testing has noted that some integrated and short out-front mounts may not give enough clearance for the ACE’s depth and size, and MTB riders on 35 mm bars may need an alternative mount. Setup requires the Wahoo app on iOS or Android, plus a phone data connection and access to 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi‑Fi for immediate updates.
vs Garmin Edge 1050
The Edge 1050 is the obvious premium rival if you want a large touchscreen computer with full-feature navigation. It’s a very feature-rich option, while the ACE leans more into cleaner setup and a simpler feel on the bike.
vs Hammerhead Karoo
The Karoo is a strong alternative for riders who want a very phone-like interface and a highly regarded screen. The ACE counters with longer battery life on paper and strong ease-of-use across setup and everyday riding.
vs COROS DURA
The DURA is the value-and-battery-life alternative for riders doing very long days, ultras or bikepacking. The ACE is the more premium-feeling choice if you want a much larger display and deeper integration with Wahoo’s training ecosystem.
Check your mount before you order
The ACE is physically big, so it’s worth checking clearance if your bike uses an integrated bar/stem or a short accessory mount. On many standard 31.8 mm road cockpits the included mount will be the cleanest solution.
Best suited to riders who actually use navigation
If you mostly record training rides on familiar roads, the ACE can be more computer than you need. It makes the most sense when you regularly follow routes, explore new areas or want a screen that’s genuinely easier to read at speed.
A strong fit for mixed indoor and outdoor riders
Because it supports ANT+ FE-C trainer control and works neatly with the wider Wahoo ecosystem, it suits riders who want one head unit to cover outdoor rides and indoor sessions.
Big screen comes with a weight penalty
At 208 g, this is not the head unit we’d choose for the lightest race build. We’d recommend it more for endurance road, gravel and adventure setups where readability matters more than shaving grams.
Training tech built around making riding simpler and more rewarding.
We stock Wahoo for riders who want training and ride tech that feels practical from day one. The brand’s focus is on helping everyday athletes improve, stay motivated and keep the process enjoyable, which shows through in products that are generally straightforward to set up and easy to live with.
In cycling, Wahoo has built a strong following by combining connected training, sensors, smart trainers and bike computers into one ecosystem. If you like the idea of your indoor setup, outdoor rides, routes and sensors working together without too much fuss, Wahoo makes a lot of sense.
