Gravel and cross riders on dry, hard-packed surfaces who want a fast, dependable tyre that runs with inner tubes.
The Terreno Dry bridges the gap between a file tread and a traditional all-conditions gravel tyre. Its angled fish-scale tread lets the centre roll extremely fast, while the ramped scales give sharp, responsive traction when loaded for braking and cornering, and the transitional-height mid and side tread keeps the roll onto the edges smooth.
From gravel grinding to medium-condition cross racing, it gives consistent performance. This is the basic wire-bead version in full black, not tubeless-ready, so it is fitted with an inner tube. Vittoria has since renamed the Terreno Dry as the Terreno T30, its fast, fine-loose-gravel tyre.
Fish-scale centre tread
Angled, ramped scales roll fast in a straight line and bite when you brake and corner.
Transitional mid and side tread
Tread height steps up gradually towards the shoulders, so leaning into a corner feels smooth.
Wire bead, full black
A simple, sturdy wire-bead build for use with inner tubes.
700 x 38c (40-622)
A gravel size that suits most gravel and cross frames, so check your clearance first.

Great for
Maybe not for
700 x 38c (ETRTO 40-622) fits 622 mm (700c) rims. Check your frame and fork clearance, use an inner tube made for a 38 mm tyre, and keep to the maximum pressure printed on the sidewall and your rim maker's limit.
Set the pressure for the surface
The smooth fish-scale centre rolls fastest with a bit more air on sealed sections, while a little less pressure on loose gravel lets the shoulder knobs dig in and grip. Adjust within the maximum printed on the sidewall, and remember this wire-bead tyre needs an inner tube.
