Overview

A practical choice for commuters, touring riders and e-bike users who prioritise puncture protection, wet-weather confidence and low-light visibility over minimum weight.

The Randonneur Tech is a 700x32c city and hybrid tyre for commuting, touring and all-weather riding. Its classic road-slick tread is designed to roll efficiently on sealed roads, while subtle channels help move water away from the contact patch. The Graphene-powered 1C compound is intended to balance rolling efficiency, traction and a comfortable ride over everyday surfaces.

Protection is the main reason to choose this tyre. A 1 mm rubber protection layer plus two nylon layers helps defend against sharp road debris, while the 33 TPI nylon casing and Bead Shield add durability around the tyre. In extended real-world testing, a pair covered close to 300 miles without a flat, and the tester found the ride smooth and reasonably quick on roads, gravelly paths and rougher touring surfaces.

The reflective sidewalls add useful visibility for low-light commuting, and the R-75 e-bike compliance suits bikes carrying the extra loads and speeds associated with electric assistance. This is a tube-type rigid tyre, so confirm your wheel’s required rim width and tyre clearance before fitting; Vittoria directs riders to its ETRTO compatibility table for the correct tyre-and-rim combination.

Built for everyday protection

The 1 mm rubber layer and two nylon layers help resist punctures from thorns, glass and sharp road debris.

Smooth city and touring ride

The road-slick tread and Graphene-powered compound are designed to keep rolling efficient across paved roads and mixed urban surfaces.

Confident in wet conditions

Subtle tread channels help move water away from the contact patch while maintaining road connection.

Suitable for e-bikes

R-75 compliance is designed to handle the higher loads and speeds associated with electric bikes.

More visible after dark

Reflective sidewalls catch light as the tyre rotates, helping you stand out during low-light commutes.

Durable nylon casing

The 33 TPI nylon casing is made for rough roads, gravel pedestrian trails and hardpack touring surfaces.

Extra bead protection

Bead Shield adds another protective layer around the bead area for demanding everyday use.

Technology

1C Compound powered by Graphene

Graphene-infused rubber helps minimise rolling resistance, enhance traction and reduce road noise and vibration.

33 TPI Nylon Casing

A durable nylon casing is built to handle rough roads, gravel pedestrian trails and hardpack surfaces during commuting or touring.

Bead Shield

An additional layer at the bead provides extra protection.

1 mm Rubber Protection + 2 Nylon layers

A 1 mm rubber layer and two nylon layers form a dual-defence system that helps resist sharp road debris and cuts while retaining a smooth, comfortable ride.

e-Bike Compliant – R-75

The construction is designed to manage the higher loads and speeds of e-bikes, while helping extend battery life on longer rides.

Reflective Sidewalls

Reflective sidewalls flash while rolling to improve visibility during low-light commuting.
