Commuters, tourers and e-bike riders who want maximum puncture protection and visibility.
The Vittoria Randonneur Tech G2.0 is built for riders who just need to get there. Under the tread sits a 1.3 mm puncture-resistant breaker, Vittoria's most extreme protection, because wet roads are where glass and thorns stick and flats happen.
The road-slick tread with water channels keeps it rolling efficiently in the wet or dry, and the graphene compound helps with grip and lower rolling resistance. A 33 TPI nylon casing stands up to rough roads and gravel paths, and reflective sidewalls help drivers see you after dark.
This is the 700 x 40c (42-622) size with a wire bead, a comfortable width for hybrids, touring bikes and e-bikes, which it is rated for.

Great for
Maybe not for
700 x 40c, ETRTO 42-622. Tube type with a wire bead. Check your frame, fork and mudguards clear a 40 mm tyre, and use a 700 x 35-43 tube.
Weight is the trade-off
At 815 g this is not a light tyre, but that extra rubber and breaker is what keeps you riding instead of fixing flats at the side of the road.
Check pressures weekly
Tube-type tyres slowly lose air. Keeping them at the pressure printed on the sidewall is the best defence against pinch flats and helps the tyre roll easier.
