Cross-country and trail riders on 26 inch wheels who want a quick, durable tyre for hardpack and mixed terrain.
The Mezcal III is Vittoria's all-round XC tyre for riders who meet a mix of terrain. Its low-profile tread is tightly spaced in the centre for low rolling resistance and durability, with an alternating centre ridge and plenty of edges for cornering, braking and climbing traction, plus directional siping on each knob to find grip on roots and rocks.
This 26 x 2.1 version has a 120 TPI TNT casing with an extra cut-resistant sidewall layer, and the 4C Graphene 2.0 compound puts four compounds in one tyre for grip, durability and low weight. TNT stands for Tube, No Tube, so it is tubeless-ready but also runs with a tube, and the folding bead makes it easy to pack.

Maybe not for
26 x 2.1 (52-559) fits 559 mm (26 inch) rims. Check frame and fork clearance for a 2.1 tyre, and stay within the pressure range printed on the sidewall and your rim maker's tubeless guidance. If you set it up tubeless, use tubeless-ready rim tape, valves and sealant.
Tubeless suits this tyre
Vittoria says a tubeless setup is lighter, rolls easier and gives more comfort and durability, and this tyre is made for it. Use tubeless-ready rims with fresh sealant, and check your pressure before every ride, because tubeless tyres lose a little air over time.
