The Shimano TOURNEY RD-TY300-SGS is a 6/7-speed rear derailleur for bikes using an HG 8/7/6-speed chain. The long SGS cage supports sprockets from 11–34T, with 43T total capacity and up to 20T front difference, making it a sensible choice for commuter, hybrid and entry-level mountain bikes with wide-range gearing.
Double Servo guides the derailleur through an optimised movement path, helping the guide pulley stay close to each sprocket for accurate SIS indexed shifts. A cable adjuster makes fine-tuning straightforward, and the included wheel-type cable guide helps complete the installation.
Before ordering, check that your bike uses a conventional direct-attachment setup and a SHIMANO MTB-type derailleur hanger. This model is not compatible with direct-mount hangers; it does support riveted road-type and BMX-track-type adapters.
