A practical replacement for owners, mechanics and restorers servicing a compatible Sturmey Archer three-speed internal gear hub.
The Sturmey Archer Cable Anchorage secures the shifter cable at the hub cable-anchorage unit, allowing the cable to be positioned and adjusted correctly for reliable three-speed shifting. It is a useful replacement or spare when the original anchorage is missing, damaged or being replaced during a hub service.
Compatibility includes SX-RK3 and SX-RB3, CS-RF3 and CS-RK3 cassette hubs, XL-RD3 hubs with drum brake, TS-RC3, TS-RB3 and TS-RF3 hubs, plus S-RC3 and AWC three-speed hubs. Check your hub model before ordering, as five-speed hubs use a different cable and anchor arrangement.
Installation is straightforward when the specified setup is followed: position the cable anchor nut face out, tighten it to 3 Nm, and use a 2 mm-diameter rod for the pulley guide hole. With 10 pieces in the pack, it is also a sensible option for workshops, restorations or keeping spares on hand.

Over a century of internal-gear engineering
Sturmey Archer is a bicycle component brand founded in Nottingham, England, in 1902. Its early development centred on the three-speed internal gear hub created through the work of Henry Sturmey, James Archer and Frank Bowden’s engineering team.
The brand is known for internal gear hubs, hub brakes and dynamo lighting, and its history also includes motorcycle gearboxes and engines. Production moved to Taiwan in 2000, where the brand continued developing bicycle transmission and hub products.
