Owners of classic three-speed bikes with the original Sturmey-Archer classic shifter.
Old three-speed hubs keep going for decades, but their gear cables don't. This 2200 mm inner cable is made for the classic Sturmey-Archer shifter, with the flattened rectangular head that slots into that shifter body.
It's the inner wire only, with no outer housing, so check your outer casing and replace it too if it's kinked or rusty.
The generous length suits upright bikes with swept-back bars and long cable runs, and you trim the tail to suit once it's set up.

Specific to the Sturmey-Archer classic shifter (HSJ762 type). It will not fit other Sturmey-Archer shifters, so check your shifter before ordering.
Setting up a 3-speed
With the shifter in top gear, take up the slack at the hub adjuster, then shift to second and turn the adjuster until the indicator rod end sits level with the end of the axle. That one check sorts most slipping gears.
