Home mechanics and workshops maintaining SRAM thread-mount power meter cranks.
SRAM's newer power meters use thread-mount chainrings that screw onto the spider rather than bolting on. The SRAM Threaded Chainring Removal Tool is the tool SRAM specifies to get them off.
It works on all SRAM thread-mount power meters, 1x and 2x, including Transmission MTB, XPLR gravel and 2x Force road systems, and comes with a backup pin.

Check your ring type
Thread-mount rings screw onto the power meter spider, while direct-mount rings use a lockring and 4-bolt rings use bolts. If you're not sure which you have, bring the crank in and we'll tell you. Follow SRAM's service manual for torque when refitting.
