Trail and enduro riders on SRAM Code, Guide RE, G2 RE or DB8 brakes who value quiet, grabby braking.
The SRAM Large pad is the shape used by SRAM's big four-piston brakes: Code (2011 on), Code Stealth, Guide RE, G2 RE, DB8, DB6, DB4 and Motive. This set uses the Quiet organic compound on a steel backing plate.
Organic pads are the quietest SRAM makes, bed in quickly and give lots of initial bite, so the brake feels strong from the first pull. They are a nice match for trail and enduro riding in dry weather.
The trade-off is wear. Organic pads go faster in the wet and on long, hot descents, so if you ride a lot of mud or bike park laps, the sintered version of this pad is the better pick.

Quiet organic
SRAM's standard organic compound: the quietest option, quick to bed in and with strong initial bite.
Great for
Maybe not for
Fits SRAM Code 2011 and later, Code Stealth, Guide RE, G2 RE, DB8, DB6, DB4 and Motive. Standard Guide and G2 take the Medium pad.
Changing compound
Moving from sintered to organic? SRAM recommends new rotors at the same time, plus a proper bed-in, to avoid noise and weak braking.
Watch the wear
Organic pads can wear fast in the wet. Replace them when the pad material is down to about 1mm, and before the spring starts touching the rotor.
Drivetrains, brakes and suspension from Chicago.
SRAM was founded in Chicago in 1987, starting out with its Grip Shift twist shifter before growing into one of the big three component makers.
Today the SRAM family covers road, gravel and mountain drivetrains and brakes, plus RockShox suspension, Zipp wheels and TruVativ cranks and bottom brackets.
