Mountain bikers running a 12-speed SRAM Eagle chain who want a spare connector or are fitting a new chain.
The SRAM Eagle PowerLock is the connector made for SRAM's 12-speed Eagle chains, the ones found on SX, NX, GX, X01 and XX1 Eagle drivetrains. It's tool-free to install: slot the two halves together, then pedal or pull the chain to snap it shut.
It's worth keeping one in your saddle bag or riding pack. If you snap a chain on the trail, remove the broken link with a chain tool and join it back up with a PowerLock to get home.
Check your chain before you buy. SRAM's newer Eagle Transmission (T-Type) chains use their own PowerLock, and SRAM says the Eagle drivetrain version has longer pins that will move side to side on a T-Type chain. Road Flattop chains need their own connector too.

PowerLock
SRAM's tool-free connector that snaps closed under pedalling load for a secure join, and makes fitting a new chain quick.
Great for
Maybe not for
Only for 12-speed SRAM Eagle chains. Check the side plates of your chain: T-Type (Transmission) and Flattop chains look different and need their own connectors.
Arrow forward
The Eagle PowerLock has an arrow on it. Fit it so the arrow points in the direction the chain moves when you pedal forward. Getting it backwards can stop it seating properly.
Use a fresh one
SRAM treats PowerLocks as single use, so fit a new connector when you remove a chain for cleaning or replacement. Use master link pliers to open it, and don't force it with a screwdriver.
