These are genuine SRAM organic pads for the four-piston Trail, Guide and G2 brake family. The steel backing plate and Quiet organic compound give a smooth, predictable feel and keep squeal to a minimum.
Organic pads bite quickly and modulate nicely, and run quieter than sintered pads. The trade-off is that they wear a little faster and don't like long, very hot descents or wet, gritty conditions as much as sintered.
Each pack contains one pair with a spring, enough for one brake. Buy two if you're doing front and rear.

Bed them in
Push the pistons back, fit the pads and spring, then do 10 to 20 firm stops from moderate speed on a flat road before hitting the trails. If your rotors are contaminated with oil, new pads won't fix it, so clean or replace the rotor too.
