A good choice for anyone replacing a worn or damaged front derailleur on a compatible 2x9-speed road bike with a braze-on frame mount.
The Shimano FD-R3000-F is a 2x9-speed road front derailleur for bikes with a brazed-on mounting point. It uses a down-swing mechanism and an angled clamp-band design to position the cage neatly around the front chainrings, while the long-arm design reduces shifting effort at the left-hand control.
With a 43.5 mm chain line, a supported top gear range of 46–52T and 16T total capacity, it is suited to compatible double-chainring road setups. The 61–66° chainstay-angle range is important when checking fit, so compare these dimensions with your existing derailleur and frame before ordering.
The steel, chrome-plated chain guide provides the contact surface that moves the chain between rings, while the aluminium inner and outer links keep the mechanism straightforward and serviceable. The finish is the SORA series colour. For dependable results, installation and adjustment need to match the frame mount, cable routing, chainring sizes and shifter system; a braze-on derailleur is not a direct fit to a band-on frame unless a suitable adaptor is used.
2x9-speed road fit
Designed for double-chainring road drivetrains using nine-speed rear shifting.
Long-arm design
Reduces the effort needed at the front shifter for lighter gear changes.
Braze-on mounting
Bolts to a compatible frame-mounted derailleur hanger rather than using a seat-tube clamp band.
Down-swing action
The linkage places the cage below the mounting point for the specified road-frame setup.
Broad top-gear range
Supports top chainring sizes from 46T through to 52T.
16T total capacity
Provides the specified capacity for managing the difference between the two chainrings.
Defined frame geometry range
Designed around a 61–66° chainstay angle and 43.5 mm chain line, making these key measurements to check before purchase.
Straightforward construction
Aluminium links and a chrome-plated steel chain guide provide a practical, serviceable mechanism.

Compatibility
Long arm design
The extended arm design reduces shifting effort, giving you lighter front shifting across the 2x9-speed drivetrain.
Down-swing mechanism
The down-swing linkage moves the derailleur cage below the mounting point for reliable front shifting on compatible road frames.
Angled clamp band design
The angled design supports clean frame integration and helps position the derailleur correctly around the front chainrings.
