Endurance riders fuelling for more than two hours who want a chew as a change from gels and drink mix.
The SiS BETA Fuel Energy Chew is a dual source, high-carbohydrate chew for rides longer than two hours. One 60 g bar gives you 45 g of carbohydrate from maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio, the same blend SiS uses across its BETA Fuel range.
Tear the packet open and eat it as a bar, or break it into blocks of 7.5 g carbohydrate each. SiS suggests 1 to 3 bars an hour during exercise to reach 80 to 120 g of carbohydrate an hour, and it can be mixed with other BETA Fuel products.

One 60 g chew bar containing 45 g of carbohydrate.
Break it up before you ride
The bar snaps into blocks, so break it up at home and keep the pieces in a small bag or jersey pocket. That way you can take a block at a time and keep count of how much carbohydrate you have had.
