SiS suggests it for training and racing of two hours or longer in warmer conditions: 2 to 3 gels an hour, or one every 20 minutes, for up to 80 to 120 g of carbohydrate an hour. It can be mixed with other products in the BETA Fuel range.

Fuel by the clock
SiS's target of one gel about every 20 minutes is easy to miss when you are focused on the road. Set a repeating timer on your bike computer, tear the sachet along the notch and sip water afterwards, and carry a couple more than you think you will need.
