Anyone servicing a Shimano SM-BBR60 bottom bracket.
The Shimano TL-FC25 is an adaptor for installing and removing SM-BBR60 threaded bottom bracket cups. These cups are smaller in diameter than earlier Hollowtech II cups, so a standard cup wrench will not grip them on its own.
The adaptor is made from glass reinforced resin and is designed to be used with Shimano's TL-FC36 tool, which turns it while it holds the notched cup.

Compatibility
Great for
Maybe not for
For SM-BBR60 bottom bracket cups. Needs Shimano's TL-FC36 (or a compatible wrench) to drive it.
Seat it fully
Push the adaptor all the way onto the cup notches before turning. A half-seated tool can slip and chew the cup edges.
Know your thread direction
On English threaded frames the drive-side cup loosens clockwise. Double check before you lean on it.
The workshop standard for over a century.
Shimano started as a small ironworks in Sakai, Japan in 1921 and grew into the world's biggest maker of bicycle components.
Alongside its groupsets, Shimano makes the dedicated service tools its own parts are designed around, which is why so many workshops keep a drawer of blue-and-grey TL tools.
