Riders replacing the rear rotor on a Shimano STEPS e-bike that uses the speed sensor system, on a Centre Lock rear hub.
The RT-EM600 is a narrow type Centre Lock rotor from Shimano's STEPS e-bike range, made for speed sensor systems. Shimano says it gives consistent, powerful braking on rugged mountain bike trails, and recommends it with its M6000, MT520 and MT420 brake kits. The rotor is polished stainless steel on a painted aluminium adapter, at a standard 1.75 mm thickness, and it suits resin or metal pads.
This is the 203 mm size and it comes with a lock ring. The hub carries a magnet for the speed sensor, and Shimano's note for all three sizes (160, 180 and 203 mm) reads for rear only with magnet bracket, so this is not a front wheel rotor. Centre Lock fitting is a splined hub seat held by the lock ring, and the ring is stamped 40 N·m.

Maybe not for
203 mm is the size on this page. Shimano also lists 180 mm and 160 mm. Your frame or fork mount and caliper must be set up for the rotor size you fit, and a larger rotor than the mount was made for needs a matching mount adapter.
Lock ring to 40 N·m, then burn it in
Shimano's dealer manual gives 40 N·m for the rotor lock ring, using its TL-LR15 tool with an adjustable wrench for internal spline rings or TL-FC36 for external ones, and warns you to wear gloves and keep your hands off the rotor edge with TL-FC36. After fitting, burn the brakes in with at least 20 slow-downs per brake, and replace the rotor if it is cracked, deformed or 1.5 mm thick or less.
