The Shimano E01S is a sintered metal disc brake pad on a steel backing plate, made for Shimano's BR-M575, BR-M486, BR-M485, BR-M446 and BR-M445 calipers. It comes as a pair with a new pad spring.
Metal pads deliver consistent stopping power in wet or dry conditions and have excellent durability. They're more fade resistant than resin pads on long descents, though they can be a little noisier.
It's the genuine Shimano pad, so the shape, spring and retaining pin all line up exactly with your caliper.

Fits Shimano BR-M575, BR-M486, BR-M485, BR-M446 and BR-M445 calipers. Check your rotor: metal pads must not be used on rotors marked for resin pads only.
Bed them in
New pads need bedding in. Find a safe flat stretch and do 10 to 20 firm stops from moderate speed without locking the wheel. Power builds noticeably once they're bedded.
Keep them clean
Never let oil or lube near pads or rotors. If they get contaminated, replace the pads and clean the rotor with isopropyl alcohol.
