Mountain, hybrid and commuter riders with six-bolt hubs who need a durable 160 mm replacement rotor.
The Shimano Deore XT SM-RT76 is a six-bolt disc rotor in the 160 mm size, a popular choice for the rear of mountain bikes and both ends of hybrids and commuters.
It pairs a steel braking ring with a black carrier and works with both resin and metal pads, so you don't need to change pad compound to use it. It comes with the bolts and anti-loosening lock plates needed to fit it.
It is a smart replacement when your old rotor is worn thin, bent or glazed, and it suits Shimano hydraulic brakes as well as most other disc brakes designed for 160 mm rotors.

Great for
Maybe not for
Needs a six-bolt hub and a brake mount set up for 160 mm. Check your rotor size is etched on the old rotor before ordering.
Tighten in a star pattern
Snug each bolt lightly, then tighten to torque in a star pattern so the rotor seats flat. Bend the lock plate tabs over the bolt heads once done.
When to replace
Shimano rotors have a minimum thickness marked on them. If yours is under that, or badly warped, it's time for a new one, and fresh pads at the same time.
