The Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus takes Marathon quality and tunes it for the extra weight and speed of an e-bike. It carries Schwalbe's puncture protection level 7, the highest in the touring range.
That protection comes from Smart DualGuard: the patented SmartGuard rubber layer backed by two layers of RaceGuard fabric. The ADDIX E compound is made for e-bikes, giving grip at higher speeds and a long life, and an extra fabric layer in the sidewalls stiffens the tyre for more load.
This 700 x 50c (50-622) size weighs 1,210 g, carries up to 128 kg and runs at 35 to 65 PSI. With ECE-R75 approval it is ready for e-bikes of every class, including S-pedelecs, and the deeper tread makes it happy on gravel paths as well as bitumen.

Fits 700c / 28 inch (622 mm) rims. At 50 mm wide it needs a rim of suitable internal width and good frame and mudguard clearance. Check your e-bike's approved tyre sizes before changing size. Needs a tube.
Fitting tip
The stiff Smart DualGuard casing and wire bead make this a firm fit. Work the beads into the rim's centre channel before levering the last section on, and never use a screwdriver. We are happy to fit it, including hub motor wheels.
Pressure for e-bikes
E-bikes are heavy, so do not run these too soft. Stay within 35 to 65 PSI, going higher with luggage or a heavier rider, and check with a gauge weekly.
