Ride Mechanic Bike Mix is an all-purpose chain lube that combines the best of wet (durable) and dry (clean) lubes. The maker says it is dry enough not to gather dust and grime, yet wet enough to last at least 12 hours on an endurance MTB ride.
It has penetrating, cleaning and degreasing properties, leaves a protective film inside the chain between rollers, bushings, pins and plates, and uses a reservoir effect to feed lube into moving parts as you ride. How the maker says to apply it
Degrease the chain first, shift to the smallest sprocket, shake well, then apply in soaking streams while turning the chain backwards at the cassette for about 20 seconds and wipe with a dry cloth. Let it dry, overnight if you can, and wipe surface residue before riding. After a wet ride, the maker stresses drying the whole bike and drivetrain and re-lubing soon after.
