This is the Pit Youth helmet in size XS, made for heads measuring 50 to 54 cm around the temples. It has a minimalist, contemporary shape that suits commuting and casual riding around town, and this colourway is a matt black shell with grey diagonal panels and a light grey rear panel.
The TEC-LOC+ dial lets you snug the helmet up quickly and easily, and the temperature regulating padding keeps it comfortable. Pit also uses an Inlaid Strap System, which attaches the straps to the in-moulded EPS liner so there are no bolts facing the skull. Pit says that gives greater safety in side impacts than standard rivets.

XS fits head circumferences of 50 to 54 cm. Measure around the head at the temples, just above the eyebrows, then set the TEC-LOC+ dial so the helmet sits level and snug without rocking. If the measurement falls outside that range, choose another size rather than stretching the fit.
Fit comes before features
A helmet only protects when it sits level on the head with the straps snug under the chin. Have your child wear it, tighten the dial until it stops rocking, then adjust the straps so it does not slide forward or back. Replace any helmet after a crash, even if it looks fine.
