Anyone fitting carbon bars, stems or seatposts who wants parts to stay put without overtightening.
Peaty's Max Grip Carbon Assembly Paste is made for the places carbon parts get clamped: handlebars, stems and seatposts. It is a blend of renewable, natural oils and ultra-fine non-slip pumice particles that adds friction between the carbon and whatever it is clamped to.
That extra friction is the point. With more grip between the surfaces, the torque needed to clamp the part goes down, and the paste also helps stop parts seizing together. The formula is non-toxic, resistant to detergents and washout, and Peaty's says it is readily biodegradable, in a tube made from 100% recycled packaging.
Made for carbon
For carbon fibre handlebars, stems and seatposts.
Extra grip
Pumice particles raise friction between clamped surfaces.
Washout resistant
Holds up to detergents and harsh conditions.
Natural oil base
Renewable oils, non-toxic and readily biodegradable.

Pumice particles
Ultra-fine pumice grit in a natural oil base gives clamped surfaces extra bite so parts stay put at a lower clamp torque.
Great for
Maybe not for
One size: a 75 g tube. Spread a thin, even layer, tighten to the torque the component maker specifies, then wipe off the excess.
How to apply
Peaty's says to spread it on both surfaces of the clamping area with a clean cloth or brush, assemble straight away, tighten to the component maker's instructions and wipe off any excess.
