A strong choice for commuters, shoppers and light tourers who want compact waterproof panniers for a lowrider rack or a smaller rear-rack setup.
The Ortlieb Sport-Roller City is a practical pair of front panniers for lowrider racks, built from PVC-laminated polyester with a roll closure to help protect your gear from rain and road spray. With 25 L of combined storage, the pair is well suited to everyday commuting, errands and lightweight touring without the bulk of a full-size rear pannier.
The Quick-Lock1 mounting system lets you attach and remove each bag with one hand once the hooks are adjusted to your rack. The supplied inserts accommodate 8 mm and 11 mm rack tubes, with compatibility for rack tubing up to 16 mm. They can also be used as rear panniers on children’s and youth bikes.
Inside, a fixed organiser provides a main compartment and zipped mesh pocket for smaller essentials. Two large reflectors improve visibility in low light, and the panniers can accept optional accessories including a 1.8 L outer pocket or a carrying system that converts a pannier into a daypack. A practical note for winter commuters: one reported user found the closure-release clips difficult to operate with cold or gloved fingers.
