Commuters and city riders who want a light, easy-to-maintain bike for work, errands and weekend rides.
The Orbea Carpe 40 is a no-nonsense city bike that feels quick and light. Its 6000 series aluminium frame uses Orbea's tube shaping and internal cable routing for a clean look, and the flat riser bar puts you in a comfortable, upright position for traffic.
A Shimano 1x7-speed drivetrain with a 42T chainring and 12-32T cassette keeps things simple, and Shimano mechanical disc brakes give consistent stopping in the wet. Kenda 700 x 38C reflective tyres with puncture protection roll well on the road and handle rougher bike paths.
The frame takes racks and mudguards and clears tyres up to 700 x 40C, so it's easy to set up for commuting. This bike is the Urban Green gloss with matte black finish in a Medium frame.

Maybe not for
This is a Medium frame. As a rough guide, Medium suits many riders in the mid height range, but frame fit varies, so come in for a test ride and we'll check saddle height and reach.
Set it up for commuting
Add mudguards and a rear rack using the frame mounts and you have a proper all-weather commuter. Check the 38C tyres still clear once mudguards are fitted.
Keep the brakes sharp
Mechanical discs need the odd cable adjustment as pads wear. If the lever starts pulling closer to the bar, turn the barrel adjuster out a little or bring it in for a quick tune.
