Kids aged 5 to 8, about 114 to 132 cm tall, who ride on flat paths and streets and want a simple bike with no gears.
Neo describes the Neo+ 20 as ideally suited to zipping around flatter areas without hills. The single-speed drivetrain means there are no gears to think about, so kids can master the core skills of cycling. The Gen 3 alloy frame has a lowered bottom bracket and a low standover height, so they can easily touch the ground.
Braking is a coaster (back-pedal) rear brake plus an alloy caliper pull front brake worked by a kid-friendly short reach lever. A low-profile full-cover chainguard covers the whole chain and chainring, wider semi-slick tyres roll smoothly, and a kickstand is fitted. This one is Chrome Pink.
Single-speed simplicity
One gear means kids can focus on steering, balance and braking while they build core cycling skills.
Coaster brake plus front hand brake
Pedal backwards to brake the rear wheel, and use the short reach lever for the alloy caliper pull front brake.
Low, stable Gen 3 frame
A lowered bottom bracket and curved top tube bring the standover height and centre of gravity down.
Full-cover chainguard and kickstand
The low-profile guard covers the whole chain and chainring, and a kickstand is fitted.

Great for
Maybe not for
Neo recommends this 20 inch size for ages 5 to 8 and heights of 114 to 132 cm, and suggests a test ride and proper bike fit to check the size. The alloy quill stem and quick release seatpost clamp make height adjustments easy as your child grows.
Show the back-pedal stop first
A coaster brake works by pushing the pedals backwards, so before the first ride show your child how to stop that way and how to use the front lever as well. Check both brakes feel firm and the chainguard is secure before each ride.
