Confident 5 to 8 year olds, about 114 to 132 cm tall, who are moving up from a smaller bike and ready to use gears.
The Neo 20 is for kids who have outgrown a smaller bike, ride confidently and are ready to use gears. Shimano 6-speed shifting gives them range for hills and changing pace, while the lightweight hydroformed alloy frame and low standover height make it easier to get on, get off and put a foot down.
It stops with alloy V-brakes worked by short reach alloy levers sized for small hands, and there is no foot (coaster) brake, so your child brakes with their hands. Slick 20 x 1.75 inch tyres, a double chainguard and a Neo kids saddle round it out. The frame is brushed alloy with black and blue fade graphics.
Shimano 6-speed gearing

Great for
Maybe not for
Neo's guide for the 20 inch size is ages 5 to 8 and heights of 114 to 132 cm. A test ride and proper bike fit is the best way to check the size, and the 22.2 mm alloy seatpost lets you raise the saddle as your child grows.
Check the V-brakes before each ride
V-brakes rely on the pads sitting square on the rim and the cables being snug, so check both levers pull firmly before each ride. With a 6-speed freewheel, change gear while pedalling and ease off the pedals during the change.
