Ideal for tubeless MTB, gravel and road riders who want a clean cockpit and prefer to keep a proper puncture repair tool stored on the bike at all times.
The Muc-Off Stealth Tubeless Puncture Plug is built for riders who want their repair kit on the bike and ready, not buried in a pack or left in the garage. It stores neatly in your bar ends and gives you a proper tubeless repair setup with a stainless steel 2-in-1 plug and reamer tool, a separate trimming knife, and 15 worms in three sizes. For MTB, gravel and road tubeless setups, that makes it a genuinely practical backup when sealant alone won’t finish the job.
What we like about this system is how well it suits real-world riding. The expanding plugs and multiple bung sizes make it work across a wide range of bars, and testers found it secure in the bar and free from rattles once fitted properly. The included knife is also worth having, because trimming a long worm neatly can help stop it catching and pulling back out on rough trails or fast gravel descents.
The trade-off is that this isn’t the fastest option if every second matters. You’ll need open bar ends, enough straight bar section, and a 4 mm Allen key to remove and refit it, so it makes the most sense for riders who value clean storage and always-on-bike convenience over absolute race-day speed. If that sounds like you, it’s a smart, durable solution that keeps a proper puncture fix exactly where you need it.
Bar-end storage
Keeps your tubeless repair kit inside the handlebar ends, so it stays with the bike instead of getting forgotten in another bag or jersey pocket.
2-in-1 repair tool
The stainless steel tool both prepares the puncture and inserts the worm, which keeps trailside repairs simpler and quicker.
Three worm sizes included
You get thin, medium and thick worms, making it easier to match the repair to road, gravel or MTB tyre damage.
Secure expanding fit
Supplied with 17 mm, 19 mm and 21 mm expanding silica plugs to help suit different handlebar internal diameters.
Compact trimming knife
Lets you trim excess worm cleanly after the repair, which can help keep the plug from snagging on the trail or road.
Cockpit-friendly construction
CNC-machined 6061 aluminium bodies give it a tidy finish and solid feel without looking like an afterthought on the bike.
Broad bike compatibility
Designed for most MTB, gravel and road bars with more than 17 mm internal diameter and suitable straight bar-end space.

What's included
CNC Machined 6061 Aluminium
We use CNC machined 6061 aluminium bar-end bodies to keep the tool light, durable and tidy in your cockpit.
Expanding silica plug
The expanding silica plug helps the tool fit a wide range of MTB, gravel and road handlebars, so installation is secure without fuss.
Stainless steel 2-in-1 puncture plug/reamer tool
You get one tool that both prepares the puncture and installs the worm, making roadside repairs quicker and simpler.
Great for
Maybe not for
Fits most handlebars with an internal diameter greater than 17 mm and uses included 17 mm, 19 mm and 21 mm expanding plugs. It is compatible with most open-end grips and drop bars that have an 84 mm straight section at the bar end. Installation uses a 4 mm Allen key, and for road bikes it is recommended only for tyres run at up to 80 PSI.
vs Dynaplug Racer Pro
The Dynaplug Racer Pro is lighter and quicker to deploy, with four pre-loaded plugs in one compact handheld tool, making it a strong pick for riders who want outright speed. The Muc-Off answers with true on-bike bar-end storage plus a separate trimming knife and three worm sizes in the box.
vs Stan’s Original DART Tool
Stan’s DART is a very light pocket tool that uses a sealant-reactive repair strip rather than a traditional worm. It is a simpler carry option, but the Muc-Off is the better match if you want your puncture kit fixed to the bike and ready across MTB, gravel and road without relying on a pack pocket.
vs Sahmurai SWORD 2.0
The Sahmurai SWORD 2.0 is another bar-end tubeless repair system, so it is the closest style rival. The Muc-Off stands out for its separate knife tool and broader sizing approach with three expanding plug diameters and three worm thicknesses, while the Sahmurai remains a very neat minimalist alternative.
Check your bar and grip setup before buying
This tool only makes sense if your bars and grips are compatible. You need an internal diameter over 17 mm, open bar ends, and enough straight section at the end of the bar.
Carry a 4 mm Allen key on the ride
Because the tool screws into the bar, you’ll want a multitool with a 4 mm hex on every ride. If you already carry one, this system is much easier to recommend.
Match worm size to tyre type
Use the smaller worms for road, medium for gravel, and the largest for MTB. Starting with the right size usually gives a tidier repair and means less trimming afterwards.
Trim the plug if there is excess hanging out
Leaving too much worm exposed can make it easier to catch and pull out, especially on rough trails. The included knife is there for a reason and is worth using.
Muc-Off is a British cycling and powersports care brand that grew out of X-Lite UK, started by Rex and Marilyn Trimnell in 1991. The company traces its roots to bicycle product development and says the Muc-Off brand was born after Rex created a pink cleaner to look after his own kit.
Today Muc-Off is known for bike cleaning, lubrication and tubeless products, alongside wider motorcycle and athlete performance ranges. The business describes product development as an in-house process led from its own R&D operation, and it has longstanding links with top-level racing across cycling and motorsport.
