It helps repel water, reduce static build-up and prevent oxidation, while giving plastic components a high-gloss finish and helping keep rubber parts protected. The broad -50°C to +200°C temperature range makes it suitable for a variety of maintenance tasks.
In day-to-day bike use, it has proved useful on seals, elastomers, suspension components, composite parts and other areas where a silicone lubricant is appropriate. The richer formula goes a long way and has been reported to remain effective for several weeks without reapplication. It can also help free stuck inner tubes or valve stems from rims and quiet creaks in suitable suspension components.
The finish is glossy and slightly tacky, so wipe away excess after application and take care around areas where dust could collect.
