Mountain bike owners who mostly ride on sealed roads, bike paths and city streets and want a faster-rolling tyre.
The Wild Run'R puts a smooth slick tread on a mountain bike wheel, so it rolls with much less drag on sealed surfaces than a knobbly tyre. Michelin describes the tread as giving minimal rolling resistance and long wear, using rubber compounds similar to its high-end road tyres, and there is a wear indicator moulded into the tread.
This is the 27.5 x 1.40 (35-584) size in black with a wire bead, a traditional clincher that runs with an inner tube. It suits bikes with 584 mm (27.5 inch or 650B) rims and enough clearance for a 35 mm tyre, and it is a simple swap for riders who spend more time on the road than on the trail.

Great for
Maybe not for
27.5 x 1.40 (35-584) fits 584 mm rims, also known as 27.5 inch or 650B. Check frame, fork and brake clearance for a 35 mm tyre, fit a matching inner tube, and keep to the maximum pressure printed on the sidewall.
A slick swap changes the feel
Moving from knobbly to slick tyres cuts rolling resistance and tyre hum on the road, but there is much less grip on loose or muddy ground. Take the first few corners gently on new tyres, and pump to a pressure within the range printed on the sidewall.
