Road and gravel riders wanting grippy, comfortable tape with a bit of personality.
Lizard Skins DSP is one of the most popular bar tapes in the pro peloton, and the 2.5 mm version is the all-rounder: enough cushioning to take the sting out of rough roads, but still thin enough to feel the bar.
It is made from Durasoft Polymer, which stays grippy wet or dry and shrugs off sweat. The V2 update brought a more UV-resistant polymer, an improved grip pattern and new screw-in bar plugs that tighten with an Allen key.
This is the Carbon Camo colourway, a subtle black and grey camo print that looks great on dark bikes. Each set has enough tape for a full drop bar at 208 cm per roll and weighs around 74 g.

Durasoft Polymer (DSP)
Lizard Skins' polymer tape offers grip in wet or dry conditions, good shock absorption and long life. The V2 polymer is more resistant to UV.
Screw-in plugs
V2 plugs thread in with an Allen key for a clean, tight finish that stays put.
Great for
Maybe not for
One set wraps a standard road or gravel drop bar. Long rolls leave room for extra overlap on wide flared gravel bars.
Wrapping polymer tape
DSP stretches more than cork tape. Use firm, even tension and about a third overlap, and don't over-stretch it around the hoods or it will thin out. Start at the bar end and wrap outward toward the stem.
Keep it clean
Wipe the tape with warm soapy water now and then. It brings the tackiness back and keeps the camo pattern looking sharp.
