The hoods on older Shimano 10-speed STI levers perish with sun, sweat and time. These replacement lever hoods fit Ultegra ST-6600, ST-6601 and ST-6603 and 105 ST-5600, ST-5601 and ST-5603 levers, giving you back a clean, grippy place to rest your hands.
They're an aftermarket set in black rubber, supplied as a left and right pair.
Fresh hoods make an older bike feel far nicer to ride, and they're far cheaper than replacing a pair of perfectly good shifters.

Check the model code on the inside of your lever body before ordering: it must read ST-6600, ST-6601, ST-6603, ST-5600, ST-5601 or ST-5603. Fitting is easiest with the bar tape unwrapped.
Use a little alcohol
Wipe a small amount of isopropyl alcohol inside the hood before you roll it on. It slides into place and then grips once it dries. Avoid grease or soapy water, which keep the hood slippery.
Start from the front
Fold the hood back on itself, hook it over the nose of the lever first, then roll it back over the body and line up the tabs with the slots on the bracket.
