Overview

Ideal for children with 50–56 cm head circumferences who are learning to ride, commuting to school or joining family cycling adventures.

The Lazer NUTZ 2.0 KINETICORE is a 240 g kids’ bicycle helmet sized for head circumferences from 50–56 cm. It is a strong choice for young riders moving from balance bikes to their first pedal bike, with a selection of child-friendly designs that can make helmet time easier.

Protection comes from built-in KinetiCore EPS crumple zones, designed to absorb energy from direct and rotational impacts without adding a separate plastic protection layer. The helmet also provides extra coverage around the temples, while the front vents include an integrated insect net to help keep bugs out during rides.

The TurnSys dial-adjustable fit system makes day-to-day fitting straightforward, and the adjustable head basket can accommodate growth within the size range. A side-positioned buckle is designed to reduce painful skin pinches, while the rear mount accepts the Universal Lazer LED for improved visibility in low light. For the best fit, measure your child’s head and check that the helmet sits level above the eyebrows; children with ponytails may need extra care when positioning the helmet.

Built-in KinetiCore protection

EPS protection blocks are designed to crumple during an impact and help absorb energy from direct and rotational forces.

Easy TurnSys adjustment

The rear dial makes it simple to fine-tune the fit as your child puts the helmet on and grows within the size range.

Extra temple coverage

More coverage across the temples helps protect a sensitive area of a young rider’s head.

Side-positioned buckle

The buckle sits beside the cheek rather than directly under the chin, helping reduce uncomfortable skin pinches.

Built-in insect net

Front-vent netting helps stop insects from entering the helmet while allowing airflow.

Universal LED compatible

The rear mounting point accepts the Universal Lazer LED to improve visibility in low-light conditions.

Reflective adjustment dial

A reflective sticker on the rear dial adds a small extra visibility feature for rides around dusk.

Growth-friendly head basket

The adjustable internal basket is designed to accommodate your child as they grow through the 50–56 cm size range.

About Lazer

Belgian helmet specialist with more than a century of history.

Lazer is a Belgian helmet brand founded in 1919, with roots in Nivelles and headquarters today in Mechelen, Belgium. The company began with protective headwear long before modern cycling helmets became standard, then evolved through leather crash hats into hard-shell bicycle helmets as the sport demanded higher levels of protection.

Over the decades, Lazer became closely associated with cycling helmet development, including early hard-shell road helmets and more recent advances in fit, ventilation and rotational-impact design. Since 2016, Lazer has been part of Shimano, and in 2022 it introduced KinetiCore, its own built-in rotational impact protection system.
