A strong choice for children aged into balance bikes, trailers or first pedal bikes who need a comfortable, adjustable helmet that can grow with them.
The Lazer Nutz 2.0 KinetiCore is designed for young riders using balance bikes, trailers or their first pedal bike. Its 50–56 cm kids uni-size fits a broad growing range, while the TurnSys dial adjustment makes it quick to fine-tune the fit before a ride. The adjustable head basket can expand as your child grows, helping extend the helmet’s useful life.
Protection is built into the helmet through KinetiCore, which uses integrated EPS foam blocks designed to crumple under direct and rotational impact. Additional temple coverage gives the sides of the head more protection, without relying on a separate plastic rotational-impact layer.
The details make everyday use easier for both children and parents. A side-positioned buckle helps reduce the chance of pinching skin beneath the chin, while the built-in insect net helps keep bugs out of the front vents. A reflective sticker on the adjustment dial supports visibility, and the rear is compatible with the Universal Lazer LED for added visibility in lower-light conditions.
KinetiCore protection
Integrated EPS foam blocks are designed to crumple under direct and rotational impact, providing built-in protection without an added plastic layer.
Adjustable growing fit
The TurnSys dial and expandable head basket make it easier to achieve a secure fit across the 50–56 cm size range as your child grows.
Comfort-focused buckle
The buckle sits at the side of the cheek rather than directly beneath the chin, helping reduce uncomfortable skin pinches during fitting.
Extra temple coverage
Additional coverage around the temple area protects a sensitive part of the head while keeping the helmet suitable for everyday riding.
Built-in insect net
The front vents include an insect net to help stop bugs entering the helmet during rides.
Visibility options
A reflective sticker on the adjustment dial adds a visibility detail, while the rear accepts the Universal Lazer LED.
Lightweight kids’ design
At 240 g, the helmet keeps weight manageable for young riders while providing a feature-rich fit and protection package.

KinetiCore
Our integrated protection technology uses EPS foam blocks that crumple under direct and rotational impact to absorb energy. It avoids added-on plastic layers and uses less EPS material.
TurnSys
A simple dial lets you adjust the fit quickly and precisely, while the reflective sticker on the dial helps your child stay visible.
Belgian helmet specialist with more than a century of history.
Lazer is a Belgian helmet brand founded in 1919, with roots in Nivelles and headquarters today in Mechelen, Belgium. The company began with protective headwear long before modern cycling helmets became standard, then evolved through leather crash hats into hard-shell bicycle helmets as the sport demanded higher levels of protection.
Over the decades, Lazer became closely associated with cycling helmet development, including early hard-shell road helmets and more recent advances in fit, ventilation and rotational-impact design. Since 2016, Lazer has been part of Shimano, and in 2022 it introduced KinetiCore, its own built-in rotational impact protection system.
