Kids with a 50 to 56 cm head, roughly from preschool through the early primary years, riding balance bikes, first pedal bikes or scooters.
The Lazer Nutz 2.0 KinetiCore suits kids moving from balance bikes to their first pedal bike and beyond. At 240 g it is light enough that little ones forget they are wearing it, and the Dragons design is a deep teal shell with mint green dragons and orange flames.
It uses Lazer's KinetiCore protection, with EPS foam blocks built into the shell that crumple to help absorb direct and rotational impacts. The shell also comes down further over the temples, and the front vents have a built-in insect net.
The TurnSys dial makes daily fitting quick, and the adjustable head basket grows with your child across the 50 to 56 cm range. A side buckle sits away from the chin to avoid pinches, and the rear mount takes a Universal Lazer LED.

Fits 50 to 56 cm head circumference. Measure just above the eyebrows and ears. Ponytails can push the helmet forward, so tie hair low.
Quick fit check for kids
The front edge should sit about two fingers above the eyebrows. Tighten the dial until the helmet doesn't wobble, set the straps in a V below each ear, and make sure only one finger fits under the chin strap. Recheck every few months as they grow.
A Belgian helmet maker with more than a century behind it.
Lazer is a Belgian helmet brand founded in 1919, now based in Mechelen. It has been part of Shimano since 2016.
In 2022 Lazer introduced KinetiCore, its own built-in rotational impact protection that uses shaped EPS foam blocks instead of an added plastic liner.
