A strong choice for a child riding a balance bike, trailer or first pedal bike who needs an adjustable 50–56 cm helmet with extra temple coverage and a fun design.
The Lazer NUTZ 2.0 KINETICORE Space is designed for children moving from balance bikes to their first pedal bikes. Its 50–56 cm kids’ uni-size fit uses the TurnSys dial adjustment, making it quick to fine-tune as your child puts the helmet on. The adjustable, expandable head basket helps accommodate growth, while the 240 g weight keeps it comfortable for everyday riding. The Space colourway features rockets, planets and stars, giving young riders a design they’ll be happy to wear.
Protection comes from KinetiCore, with built-in EPS foam blocks designed to crumple during direct and rotational impacts. Additional temple coverage adds protection around the sides of the head, and the helmet meets EN 1078:2012 + A1:2012. The side-positioned buckle helps reduce the chance of pinching skin beneath the chin, while the integrated insect net covers the front vents. A rear mount accepts a Universal Lazer LED for added visibility. In day-to-day use, the adjustment dial is easy to grip and the helmet provides a good fit; if your child wears a ponytail, check the fit carefully before riding, as hair can affect how securely it sits.

Belgian helmet specialist with more than a century of history.
Lazer is a Belgian helmet brand founded in 1919, with roots in Nivelles and headquarters today in Mechelen, Belgium. The company began with protective headwear long before modern cycling helmets became standard, then evolved through leather crash hats into hard-shell bicycle helmets as the sport demanded higher levels of protection.
Over the decades, Lazer became closely associated with cycling helmet development, including early hard-shell road helmets and more recent advances in fit, ventilation and rotational-impact design. Since 2016, Lazer has been part of Shimano, and in 2022 it introduced KinetiCore, its own built-in rotational impact protection system.
