Overview

A strong choice for commuters and urban riders who prioritise being noticed from multiple angles in traffic and at junctions.

The Big Cobber Twinpack is a front-and-rear lighting set designed to help you stand out in urban traffic. Each light uses a broad curved beam rather than concentrating everything into a narrow spot, creating visibility from the front, rear and sides. The twinpack’s claimed 330° visibility is especially valuable when you are approaching intersections or moving through busy streets.

The rechargeable lights are straightforward to operate, with a single top button for switching on and changing modes. You can select from eight lighting modes, including steady, pulse and flash options, so it is easy to balance output and battery life for your route. The lights are also described as waterproof, making them suitable for everyday commuting in changeable weather.

Mounting needs a little thought because the Big Cobber is the largest light in the Cobber range at 92 mm high. The supplied mounting options are designed for round and aero tubes, while a vertical head-tube position can make the front light more visible from all sides. For the rear, a seatpost is usually the simplest fit. The broad front beam can be distracting when aimed directly towards you, so take care with positioning and mode selection.

Broad-angle visibility

The curved light design spreads illumination across a wide arc, helping approaching and crossing road users see you more readily.

Front and rear coverage

A white front light and red rear light provide a complete everyday visibility setup in one twinpack.

Eight lighting modes

Choose between steady, pulsing and flashing patterns to suit daylight riding, evening commutes and darker streets.

Rechargeable operation

USB charging avoids disposable batteries and makes it practical to top up the lights between rides.

Round and aero mounting

The supplied mounting options accommodate different tube shapes, including standard and aero profiles.

Weather-ready construction

The lights are described as waterproof, giving you useful reassurance when commuting through wet conditions.

Large Big Cobber format

At 92 mm high, the Big Cobber offers a larger illuminated profile than the smaller Cobber sizes, although its mounting position deserves consideration.
