Overview

A good option for a 700C-bike owner seeking a straightforward rear cargo solution for commuting, errands or light touring, provided the bike’s mounting and clearance requirements are confirmed.

The Rear Carrier Heavy Duty for 700C is a practical rear-mounted cargo platform for riders who want to carry more than a backpack allows. A rear rack can support a versatile setup with panniers, a top bag or a securely strapped dry bag, making it useful for commuting, shopping, touring and bikepacking.

Before you buy, check that your bike has suitable rear rack mounting points and enough clearance around the tyre, seat stays and brake calliper. Frame-mounted racks commonly use threaded eyelets, while alternative mounting systems may be needed on bikes without dedicated rack mounts. 700C wheel compatibility does not by itself confirm compatibility with every frame or tyre width.

We recommend confirming the carrier’s fitting hardware, maximum load rating and clearance for your particular bike before installation. Keep heavier items low and secure, as a well-positioned load helps the bike feel more stable and predictable. If you are planning to carry panniers, also check that the rack provides suitable side support and enough heel clearance for your shoes and frame size.

700C fit

Designed for bikes using 700C wheels; confirm tyre width and frame clearance before fitting.

Rear cargo position

Places your luggage behind the saddle, leaving the handlebar and front area clear for steering and accessories.

Pannier-ready setup

Rear carriers are commonly used with panniers, giving you a practical way to expand carrying capacity for commuting or touring.

Top-load flexibility

A rear rack can also provide a platform for a rack bag or securely strapped dry bag when panniers are not required.

Check frame mounts first

Confirm that your bike has compatible rear rack eyelets or that suitable fitting hardware is available.

Check brake and tyre clearance

Disc-brake position, tyre width and mud clearance can affect whether a rear carrier fits safely.

Load planning matters

Keep cargo secure and positioned as low as practical to help maintain stable handling.
