Riders with a supported Shimano, TRP or Tektro brake who want a durable, OEM-like pad for general trail and everyday riding.
These are Galfer FD426 pads in the Standard G1053 compound, made for Shimano four-piston calipers such as XTR M9120, Saint M810 and M820, Zee, and XT M8020 and M8120. Galfer describes the Standard compound as a moderate-use pad with a feel similar to an OEM pad, and strong durability in most riding conditions.
The pad has a steel backing plate and a semi-metallic compound, with no cooling fin. The same shape also fits TRP Quadiem, Quadiem SL and Slate T4, and Tektro HD-E725, HD-M735, HD-M745 and HD-M750 brakes. Galfer makes FD426 in other compounds too, so check the code (G1053) if you are matching a set you already like.

Match the compound code
Galfer sells the FD426 shape in several compounds, marked by code and colour. This set is G1053, the Standard compound, shown in black. If you are replacing pads you already like, match the code, and change both pads in a caliper together so they wear evenly.
