Road riders with FSA 19 mm MegaExo cranks in a threaded 68 mm frame who need a fresh, reliable bottom bracket.
The FSA BB-4000 is FSA's go-to threaded bottom bracket for road bikes with a BSA (English) 68 mm shell. It uses external cartridge bearings in CNC-machined cups, joined by a composite centre sleeve with double o-ring seals to keep water and grit out of the bearings.
It is built for FSA cranks with the 19 mm MegaExo spindle, the kind fitted to a lot of FSA Omega and Gossamer road chainsets. When your bottom bracket starts to creak, feel gritty or develop play, swapping in a fresh BB-4000 is usually the fix.

Great for
Maybe not for
Needs a BSA / English threaded shell (1.37 x 24 TPI) 68 mm wide and an FSA crank with a 19 mm MegaExo spindle. Measure your shell and check your crank's spindle before ordering; 24 mm spindles will not fit.
Installation
Clean and grease the frame threads (or use a threadlocker if the frame is prone to creaking), then fit the drive-side cup, which is reverse threaded, before the non-drive side. You'll need an external-cup bottom bracket tool that suits the cup splines.
Creaks after fitting?
Most creaks come from dry threads, a crank preload that is too loose, or dirty chainring bolts rather than the bearings. If yours keeps ticking, drop in and we'll work through it with you.
