The ESI Extra Chunky is ESI's thick grip: 34 mm installed diameter and 80 g for the pair, made from silicone in the USA. The larger diameter puts more material between your palm and the bar for maximum shock absorption.
A fatter grip also opens up your hand so your fingers and thumb overlap less, which many riders find reduces cramping on long descents. They slide on over standard 22 mm bars and come with bar plugs.
ESI's black is a dark charcoal grey, so it looks subtle on any bike.

Install with alcohol
Slide them on with a little rubbing alcohol on the bar, fit the bar plugs first to protect the ends, then let the alcohol evaporate before riding. The same trick makes them easy to remove later.
