Overview

Home mechanics and workshops replacing a worn 609 bearing with a quality, bike-specific part.

The Enduro 609 LLB is a standard radial cartridge bearing measuring 9 x 24 x 7 mm. Enduro notes it has been used as a hub bearing by Mavic and as a pivot bearing, though Enduro's MAX version is better suited to suspension pivots.

It pairs 52100 high-carbon chromium steel races with Grade 10 steel balls, made to ABEC-3 precision with C3 clearance. LLB dual-lip labyrinth seals and a 90% grease fill keep it running smoothly through rain and grime.

It's sold as one bearing. Check how many your part uses and replace them together for the best result.

Technology

LLB seals

Dual-lip seals ride in a micro-groove in the race to form a full labyrinth, keeping water and grit out and grease in.

Deep-groove races

Enduro cuts its races as deep as possible to fit the largest balls, which spreads load and helps the bearing last.

Who it's for

Great for

  • Hub rebuilds where a 609 is specified (some Mavic hubs)
  • Other bike parts that call for a 9 x 24 x 7 mm bearing
  • Everyday and wet-weather riding

Maybe not for

  • Parts that need a different bearing size (always measure first)
  • Full suspension pivots where a MAX (full-complement) bearing is specified

Fits anything that takes a 609 bearing: 9 mm bore, 24 mm outside diameter, 7 mm wide. Check the number on your old bearing's seal. Sold individually.

Worth knowing

Press, don't hammer

Use a bearing press or a drift that pushes on the race you're pressing into the part, never on the seal. A hammer can damage a new bearing before it's turned a single kilometre. If you don't have the tools, bring it in and we'll fit it.

Match the number, not just the look

Bearings of similar size can look identical. Read the code on the old seal or measure bore, outside diameter and width before ordering, and bring the old one in if you're unsure.
