Overview

Kids and BMX riders on 20 inch wheels who ride mostly on streets, paths and skateparks.

This Duro 20 x 1.75 tyre has a low profile freestyle tread built for street BMX and urban riding. The close-set pattern rolls smoothly on concrete and bitumen while giving enough edge to hold a line.

It's a wire bead tyre in black, ETRTO 47-406, the standard 20 inch size used on kids' bikes, BMX and some folding and older chopper-style bikes.

Freestyle tread

Low profile pattern for hard surfaces.

47-406 size

Standard 20 inch fitment.

Wire bead

Tough and easy to fit.

Who it's for

Great for

  • 20 inch kids' bikes and BMX ridden on hard surfaces
  • Street and skatepark riding
  • Replacement tyre for older 20 inch bikes

Maybe not for

  • BMX racing or dirt jumps (a knobby tyre grips better)
  • 451 mm 20 inch rims (20 x 1 1/8 or 1 3/8)

Fits 20 inch rims with a 406 mm bead seat. Check the old tyre's sidewall reads 406. Use a 20 x 1.5/1.75 tube.

Worth knowing

406 vs 451

20 inch wheels come in two sizes. Most BMX and kids' bikes use 406, while some older racers and folding bikes use 451. The 406 number is on the sidewall of your old tyre.
