BMX and single speed riders, or anyone replacing a worn threaded freewheel on a 1/8 inch chain bike.
The Dicta 14T freewheel is a simple, hard-working single speed freewheel for 1/8 inch chain. It threads onto a single speed freewheel hub and lets you coast, making it a staple for BMX, single speed and kids' bikes.
The teeth are CNC machined and finished in silver, and the face has four removal notches. That lets a Dicta 4-notch remover grip it properly when it's time for a swap, rather than chewing the freewheel up with a punch and hammer.
At 14 teeth it's on the small side, which gives a taller gear on BMX bikes with small chainrings, or a harder gear on a single speed. Swap up to 16 or 18 teeth if you'd like easier climbing.

Maybe not for
Fits threaded single speed freewheel hubs and runs a 1/8 inch chain. Removal needs a Dicta 4-notch freewheel remover. If you're unsure your hub takes a threaded freewheel, bring the wheel in and we'll check.
Grease the threads
Put a light coat of grease on the hub threads before spinning the freewheel on. It'll still tighten itself as you pedal, but it'll come off far more easily next time.
Check chain tension
Changing the number of teeth changes how much chain you need. After fitting, slide the wheel back or adjust the chain length so there's a little up-and-down slack, not tight and not sagging.
