This 11-speed MTB cassette gives you a practical 11-51T range, with an 11T smallest sprocket for faster sections and a 51T largest sprocket for steep climbs. The carefully spaced 11-13-15-18-21-24-28-33-39-45-51T sequence helps maintain cadence as gradients change, making it suitable for mountain-bike drivetrains using a front single or double chainring.
The HYPERGLIDE tooth profiles and shift ramps are designed to control the chain during indexed shifts. In day-to-day use, a long-term field report described the shifting as crisp, smooth and quieter than the SunRace cassette it replaced, with particularly improved shifting across the larger sprockets.
Before ordering, check your freehub and derailleur combination carefully. This cassette uses an HG spline M freehub interface and is compatible with HG-X 11-speed or CN-LG500 chains. For the 11-51T combination, Shimano lists the RD-M5100-SGS rear derailleur; installation requires the appropriate cassette tools and a 30-50 N·m lock-ring torque. Keep the chain clean and lubricated to help extend drivetrain life.
